Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Luminous Mon Nov 07, 2011 3:59 pm

I do not accept full credit for this idea. Thanks to Ryan for suggesting the zombie apocalypse theme.

Moved to the Pokemon RP section because as it turns out this'll probably not be all that casual. Lol.

Plot overview
Pokemon are being infected by a deadly virus which is killing them BUT THEY'RE COMING BACK AS ZOMBIES OMGWTFBBQ! A group of trainers and their Pokemon are fighting to survive against this brainless horde of barbaric creatures. The trainers must ensure that their Pokemon do not become infected. Humans are immune to the virus but they are by no means immortal - they can and will be killed by zombie Pokemon if they get too close!
The location will be Johto. Olivine City to be precise.
(Yes some Pokemon types are immune as well, but we'll cover that later on).

Please note that this roleplay will contain violence, gore, and bad language - so if you're sensitive about these things then you may have to avoid this realm of death.

Basic rules

- Anybody is allowed to participate. You can enter whenever you want to, but if this roleplay has already started by the time that you want to join then please post your character in the discussion thread for this roleplay.
Discussion thread

- If you trainer is killed then you may re-enter as a new trainer.

- Respect other people, use decent grammar, and try to post at least 6 lines per post. I know that this is a casual roleplay but try not to do stupidly short posts anyway.

- Have fun!

- You can only apply as a trainer with up to 6 Pokemon. No legendaries allowed. No duplicate Pokemon allowed either. (On the same team).

- Your trainer may carry weaponry, but weapons with ammo may not be useful for very long because there'll not be much ammo to spare.

- Try not to have a team that's full of immune Pokemon. That's no fun at all...

- If another applicant shares similar Pokemon to yours, then don't worry about it.

Application form
Code:
Name:
Gender:
Age:
Appearance: (An image or a short description will suffice).
Personality: (Doesn't have to be too detailed).
Short bio: (Again, doesn't have to be too long).
Pokemon: (Yes, Pokemon can have more than four moves. Do not bother writing movesets down).

A list of how vulnerable each Pokemon type is against the virus
(This is what it says on the tin. Some Pokemon are less suscectible to being infected than others, whilst some are just...normally suscectible to it, which means that they'll just succumb to the virus fully within 24 hours (weaker Pokemon will fall to the virus faster). Yes there are Pokemon that're fully immune. These ones will prove to be the most valuable in your efforts to survive
Also, Pokemon that're within that first 24 hour period cannot spread the virus. Only fully zombified Pokemon can do that).
Spoiler:

That's all for now folks, I'll edit this post if needs be. =P

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Luminous Mon Nov 07, 2011 4:48 pm

Name: Willow Artridge.
Gender: Female.
Age: 25.

Appearance: Willow tends to wear her simplistic, white labcoat over a long-sleeved plain shirt, and dark coloured jeans. Her hair is brunette in hue and it reaches to the bottom of her spine. Willow's eyes are hazel. Her figure is rather slight but she is tall - coming in at around 5'8''. Her slight figure combined with how tall she is makes her look a little too thin to be fully healthy. And no, she doesn't need glasses to aid her vison. She only wears lab goggles when she needs them.

Personality: Willow is quiet, intelligent, and polite. She speaks in a rather formal tone with no slang words. It is hard to make her lose her temper but when she does she will normally just fall into silence. This woman does not like to say a bad word about anyone, so if she harbours a harsh opinion then she will keep it to herself. She tends to shy away from confrontations of the physical and the mental kind, preffering to use 'tactical withdrawals' to her advantage. This does not mean that she will not try to use some form of weapon to her advantage though.

Short bio: Willow was raised in Kanto, in Saffron City to be exact. She has always aspired to be a scientist. Silph co was probably the main thing that inspired her to take up that particular occupation. Her life growing up was normal, with her achieving high grades in school. Silph co took her on for an apprenticeship and they were so impressed by her scientific talents that she was taken on as a Pokemon Biological Professor. Because of her title she was encouraged to explore unfamiliar places, even other regions in some cases. This is how she's got such a wide array of Pokemon. Her first Pokemon was a Porygon which was given to her through her apprenticeship. It has since evolved fully. When the virus spread, she fled to Olivine City where she has been camping out with her Pokemon ever since, looking around for people to aid. She may know more about the whole ordeal than she's letting on...

Pokemon: Porygon-Z, Gallade, Bisharp, Arcanine, Jellicent, Electrode.

Other: Expect her weaponry to be composed of 'interesting' chemical reactions (explosions, corrosive acids, etc etc). She will not carry a gun. And apologies for my completely sucktacular character sheet. Lol.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Sniper Mon Nov 07, 2011 6:03 pm

It's 4am, TIME TO WRITE A POST OLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Name: Jack Smith
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance: When standing, Jack reaches of a height of just above six foot. When sitting, well, he'll be a damn sight shorter. He has roughly spiked brown hair and blue eyes to complement his current outfit of a white long-sleeved shirt, a thin black scarf, pair of black jeans and black trainers. I doubt he'll change much given the current apocalypse, but who knows? Stuck looking like a hipster, I guess.

Personality: Egotistical, unforgiving, sarcastic, strong-willed, intelligent, loyal. The six words that would describe the young man that is Jack Smith relatively well.

His pokémon journey has already been completed with high, but not complete success, and as a result, he regards himself on a higher level than most other trainers. Rightfully so? Not always. If someone makes an error that affects Jack himself, not his fault, but that of someone else, he will be pretty merciless in his verbal scathing and a quick and total breakdown in the working relationship with them. His way of speaking invites conflict, always willing to mock and piss off friend or foe, no matter what.

However, he does retain qualities. His will to complete a task is always strong, and tools available at his disposal enforce that definitive strength that he holds. Both in mind and matter, he doesn't piss around. His intelligence allows him to factor in all equations in a battle scenario and produce, whilst not always the best, a good solution to the problem. Tie that in with his loyal side, and you've got a decent package. He would probably annoy the shit out of you, but he wouldn't exactly leave you to die when a zombified Dragonite is gnawing your legs off.

Short bio: Jack Smith was born and lived in Slateport City in the Hoenn region for the majority of his life, before embarking on the first phase of his pokémon journey at the age of 12. He managed to advance a fair way through the Hoenn League, even if he did lose a few times along the way. This only helped build experience though and he managed to make his way to the Hoenn Elite Four, before deciding that he wasn't going to be able to defeat them at the tender age of 14. After that final battle in Hoenn, he elected to refine his skills in Kanto and Johto, travelling through both the regions and once again managing to collect a fair array of badges, only losing twice throughout his travelling in both regions. Again, both to members of the respective Elite Fours. He was preparing to embark on a second challenge against the Johto Elite Four, but his plan was somewhat scuppered when the virus decided to hit Johto...

Pokemon: Lucario, Gallade, Absol, Gliscor, Serperior

Other: Jack knows how to operate basic weaponary, but doesn't currently carry a gun with him.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Romeo Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:59 pm

Name: Xylon Reget (Yes people, Xylon’s back!!!!!)
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Th_Maleteenager
Personality: Xylon is a pyro maniac, nothing else really that interesting about him. He likes fire, which has always got him into trouble. He’s a joker more than anything else and doesn’t take the whole ‘end of the world’ situation too seriously, nor does he take his life too seriously. Though he is over-protective over his pokémon, so overprotective he’d sacrifice himself to save them. Usually a jolly person, Xylon is barely upset and hardly moved or upset by the current situation, always trying to look on the bright side of things.

Short bio: Xylon was born in Kanto but moved to Johto in order to get away from bullies. He’d always been different in the respect that he’d never fit in too well with other people around him. This may have been due to the fact he is obsessed with fire and doesn’t understand human emotions too well. Living in Johto from the age of 10, Xylon spent 5 years growing up being bullied for being so different and setting fire to things, including his very school.

He excelled at pokémon battles though, which meant he took all his anger out on his opponents when battling, taking pleasure from their defeats. This kept him happy at all times, and whilst pyromaniacs were usually seen as dark, depressing people, Xylon was different in so many ways.

When the apocalypse came though, Xylon watched all of his classmates being devoured by evil, rabid pokémon, barely escaping himself. Escaping with a large bite mark on his arm, Xylon went home to find his own home destroyed and laying in rubble. Unable to find his family, he set out to find them in little hope that they were still alive, fighting off the hordes of pokémon to this very day.

Pokémon:

Typhlosion
Dewgong
Magmar
Steelix
Bagon

Good job Ryan reminded me xD

Name: Tim North
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQAeuks5z_1Qo8QliBAtmK35oS2nLtRVoF8oLWzWuW5IaP1gYsi
Personality: When you first look at Tim you get the picture of smart, nerdy, smart, weak, smart, socially unacceptable as well. Did I mention he was smart? No? Oh. He's smart.
Short bio: He was born in Kanto, Pallet town. In Pallet Town he caught Ron the Pidgey. He was bullied into moving, so he moved to Pewter. Again, he was bullied. So he moved to Lavender Town but not before catching Don the Geodude at Pewter. Tim is the son to John North and Sally North who are both in their 40's. Or were. On his way back from School one day he discovered that Pokémon was tearing his parents apart outside his house, in front of him. He panicked and fled, never to go back to Lavender unless he was forced to.
Pokemon: Ron the Pidgey
Don the Geodude

Sorry for the length but I kinda had to be reminded and... I have life with lots of stuff to do xD

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Luminous Mon Nov 21, 2011 2:13 pm

Olivine City, 8:00PM

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse 300px-HGSS_Olivine_City
(Inserted the reference image just incase you're not aware of the layout of Olivine City)

Olivine, a small populace located in Johto. The port 'city' was normally bustling with activity because it was a means of transporting Pokemon produce and tourists to and from different areas all across the Pokemon regions. But after the virus had spread, everything had changed. The lighthouse and the Pokemon Gym seemed to be the only stable structures left. The other houses had quite literally been torn apart by the zombified Pokemon that roamed around. Normally a zombified Miltank would be fairly comical, but the entertainment value had quickly disappeared.

Willow had managed to bombard herself within one of the dilapidated houses. Six Pokeballs were clipped to her belt securely. She was not keen on letting her Pokemon out should they be bitten, but she has a safety net as so to speak - Bisharp was completely immune to the virus. The bladed Pokemon was stood by her side, staring out of the window. Six of those damned Miltanks were snarling at the structure as if they knew that somebody was in there. Willow sighed.

'We're going to have to chance this, Bisharp. As much as I hate to say this I can't imagine that being holed up in here will help us at all. We should really check whether the local Gym Leader's trapped or not...is she's alive, she could be a huge asset seeming as all of her Pokemon are immune. Are you ready?'

Bisharp nodded curtly. It was time to go balls deep. Literally.
Willow kicked the door down. The crash resounded through the street and the Miltanks mooed menacingly at the pair, drawing in with some speed. Their muscles had not yet disintegrated to the point where their speed would be hindered. The cow-like Pokemon must have only been infected recently. The scientist glanced at her Bisharp. He did not look all that enthusiastic about things at all.

'Hmmm...looks like we need some fire. Go, Arcanine!'

Willow threw a Pokeball into the air and a large canine formed in a burst of white light. Arcanine howled at the maniacal milk producers.

'Flamethrower!' Willow ordered.

Arcanine barked before shooting searing flames out of its mouth, engulfing the livestock with fire. The Miltanks cried out in distress and anger. They ran towards Willow, Bisharp, and Arcanine with more speed than they had done before.

'Okay, I didn't think this through as thoroughly as I thought. It's alright though. I have a plan...' Willow uttered matter-of-factly. She got a vial of green liquid out of her large, khaki-coloured backpack and threw it at the screaming Miltanks. They exploded in a confusion of noise and mess. The trio backed away far enough not to be hit by several sets of intestines. Willow felt queasy looking at the pile of blood and flesh, so she directed her sight line towards the Gym...where a group of zombie Miltanks and Tauros stood. There were at least a dozen of them, but Willow decided not to perform an accurate head count. She knew that there were more than she could handle. Willow did not want to endanger the rest of her Pokemon by sending them out, so she ushered Arcanine and Bisharp to her side.

'This doesn't look good at all. If I was the type to yell expletives then I would have done by now,' Willow uttered with no enthusiam in her tones. The group of dead Pokemon shot glances at Willow and her companions simultaneously. Arcanine snarled at them and Bisharp stood in a fighting stance.

'I guess we can only stand and fight...get ready...'

Luckily, this group of zombies were 'older', so they couldn't travel very fast at all. Some of them had chunks of flesh missing and all of them had damaged limbs. Willow needed a miracle. Yes, they were slow, but they would kill her somehow.

MICHAEL SCHULTZ
20:06:52
0.6 KILOMETRE SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF OLIVINE

Michael was reclined and asleep in the pilot's seat, Nathan resting in the copilot's, when the duo felt the plane tilt slightly nose-up. Thinking nothing of it, he rolled over and went back to sleep. That was, until no more than 30 seconds later the stick shaker (a sort of stall alarm) went off. Michael leaned forward still half-asleep and grabbed the still-shaking control yoke and silenced the alarms.

He pushed the control yoke away from him, and oddly enough, it was unresponsive, at least until the aircraft pitched about 40 degrees nose-down. Then Andy saw a shadow on his left-front wing. He looked out the rear window, and sure enough, there was a Pidgeot on the remains of the tail wing. Andy sighed and opened the door just enough to wedge the Five-seveN in and fire a few rounds, but something else then grabbed his attention...
..."Warning - Sinkrate."

The sinkrate alarm - shit! Andy grabbed the controls and looked at the altimeter - the needle had just gone below 3000. That left Andy some time, but not much. He looked over the nose of the aircraft and saw dozens of Miltank chasing a girl in a labcoat and her Arcanine. Andy hit the flap lever and the speed brakes, turning the aircraft in the general direction of the horde of Miltanks.

1000 feet. Andy hit the landing lights and the gear switch. It would be a rough landing.

500 feet. The Miltanks' eyes shone as the landing lamps reflected off.

50 feet. He passed over the girl in the labcoat and sailed into the thicket to the west. Andy grabbed Nathan and braced for the impact.

3 feet. The nose landing gear broke off and the prop struck the ground, the engine cycling against the rev limiter. And finally, all was quiet.

And then a chorus of moos came through the shattered windscreen. Andy released Nathan and yanked the fuel cutoff, the smell of petrol permeating the cabin. As he grabbed the keys from the ignition, sparks flew from the annunciator panel, and Andy had seen enough. he kicked the still-unlatched door open and ran towards the Gym, the Miltank (thankfully) still investigating the wreck...

And then a massive explosion boomed across the forest, fire lighting the night sky. Out of the corner of his eye he saw an Arcanine, and raised his sidearm, the laser sight creating a red dot on its side.

And that's when he saw labcoat girl run up to the Pokémon.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Sniper Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:07 pm

8pm in Olivine City. Normally one of the busiest times of day with a bustling port, families going out to eat, the night starting with people flooding outside and in buildings. All noise, all the time...but this silence that gripped the city tonight was more deafening than any audible sound. The screams and moans of the zombified pokémon cast a veil over the normally tranquil image of Olivine, replacing it with what could only be described as the Devil's Playground, a perfect representation of hell on earth. Only one difference, Jack Smith could die tonight. Or the next. Or the next. His fear wasn't clear to see on his face, as his cold and thoughtful expression would have you believe otherwise, but the shaking of his leg and foot with the bloodied hammer in his lap would give away the clear sign of the worry that was travelling through the young man's mind. Even though he sat in relative security, in the dark and dim lighthouse. It had to be that way, the zombies had no clue he was there, and he would prefer to keep it that way until they had to leave. They included his current out-of-ball companion Lucario, and the other four pokéballs attached securely to his belt. He was worried. Badly. Death was around the inevitable corner. And he was about to turn it.

'It's time.'

The Lucario turned around to Jack as he slowly looked up with a tear in his eye.

'Let's go.'

Jack got up, threw the hammer down and immediately headed for the stairs to the beacon at the top, Lucario following behind him up the spiral staircase that led to the main attraction of the lighthouse. On that particular floor, Jack found the light unscathed and operable. Therefore, the previously composed plan was about to be put into action. Whether it would work or not was another story entirely. Jack brought out his Gliscor and then looked at the pair.

'Let's run through again quickly. I turn the light on, then Lucario, you destroy the pane of glass. At that moment, myself and Gliscor will fly out, I'll recall you and we head out in the direction of the forest, flying above it as to avoid all the infected below. We circle around Olivine before hopefully coming to rest near the entrance of the gym. If the path is blocked, then we simply charge our way in by any means necessary. I call out everyone and we mutilate them all...got it?'

The two pokémon nodded, as with a fair amount of nerves, Jack walked behind the two towards the main switch. He called Gliscor over before hopping onto the end of it's tail where he stood. One hand was lying on the switch, the other shakily grasping Lucario's pokéball. He looked over to Lucario and nodded for a moment, then looked back to the switch.

'Get ready.'

Lucario moved over towards the pane of glass, getting ready to smash it down. Jack took a deep breath...heart pounding ferciously.

'...GO!'

He slammed the switch, Lucario turned around and smashed the glass pane, allowing Jack to grab hold of the back of Gliscor and recall Lucario back into its capsule, the scorpion swerving behind the lighthouse as to avoid sighting from the pokémon in the town that would inevitably see the bright light suddenly appear. Gliscor dropped altitude very slightly hovering above the treeline, Jack holding on desperately behind. The plan was all going well, no hitches so far as they came down from circling around the back of the city. That was until Jack spotted a woman in a labcoat stuck at the back of a group of the zombified pokémon. Jack spotted a few pokémon approaching her from behind and decided that if he was going to go out. How better to do it than in style?

'Gliscor, get down there!'

Gliscor swooped down above the horde and pulled up just behind the alive group for Jack to hop off and send out his Lucario and Absol in an attempt to get the horde back. Gliscor then landed, and the three headed out in front of the trainer as he scanned the surroundings briefly.

'Absol, Blizzard! NOW!'

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Romeo Tue Nov 22, 2011 12:57 pm

Route 39
20:04:48

Route 39 usually wouldn’t be such a bad place to train. You know, with the nice long fields, the excellent variety of trees, and even the pokémon were kind of entertaining to attack and win battles against. That would be usually. Funny how things changed so fast. Now it seemed like a barren wasteland, no man’s land, and Xylon Reget was the only living soul walking down it. The grass was no longer green, neither were most of the trees, and no pokémon opposed Xylon for a friendly, non-life threatening battle. Bodies littered the fields around him, bodies of both pokémon and humans alike. This wasn’t the route 39 it once was.

Xylon himself was walking aimlessly around, playing with his lucky lighter, looking for something interesting to set on fire. He could set the bodies of the dead on fire, but even Xylon knew that was disrespectful and tried to keep his thoughts away from such devilry. Xylon had no plan of where to go or what to do, his luck was running out. He had occasionally come across survivors of the virus, only to watch them die at the hands of contaminated pokémon. He was beginning to grow lonely; the hope of finding his family was growing dimmer and dimmer as the days passed by, though hope was still ignited within his heart.

“You know Typloshion; we should probably get out of this field. I mean, we’ve been in here for god knows how long and still haven’t been attacked. It won’t be long before some crazy-ass Miltank comes to virus rape us, which won’t be pretty at all,” Xylon said to his Typloshion, who was keeping him company whilst he wondered over the bodies of the dead in the field. In a sense, Xylon was right, there was no way his luck was going to remain amazingly high forever. His lighter’s luck would run out eventually, it couldn’t repel the hordes of zombified pokémon forever.

However, whilst saying that they were actually going to go somewhere, one problem and question remained in Xylon’s head. Where? Anywhere they went could lead them to their deaths, straight into hell. No where was safe. At that very moment though, the roaring of a plane engine screamed overhead. Xylon quickly returned Typloshion and ducked down, laying his body flat out on the ground. The brown grass made a crunching noise as he pressed himself against it, flinging his arms over his head. Looking up slightly, Xylon watched as the oddest events unfolded above him and before his very eyes.

A plane that had somehow caught fire whooshed over his head screeching like a banshee, by the sounds of it its engine was rattling. Xylon assumed that somebody was in the plane, and waited for it to crash not a mile away from him. The crash was loud, very loud, leaving Xylon in doubt that anybody had survived the mighty accident, though it was worth a shot to find out. Also if they were to survive, the crash would have attracted all surrounding pokémon, and the pilot would be weak. He would need assistance, and Xylon wasn’t going to let he or she die, not alone anyway.

Xylon tightened his rucksack and propelled himself up onto his feet using his arms. Upon recovering himself back onto his feet, Xylon set off in a sprint towards the crash site, his black, leather jacket tailing behind him. Most people would get tired extremely fast, especially with child obesity rates being so high at the moment, but Xylon didn’t. After being on the run for who knows how long from zombified pokémon, he’d adapted to surviving and moving faster than most humans had before they’d met their demise.

Strong clouds of deep, dark smoke rose from the crash site, letting off the scent of burning oil and metal. This couldn’t be healthy for the envoirment. Luckily for Xylon, he wasn’t attacked during his sprint towards the crash site; of course he’d passed through the dead wastelands that posed a hazard with every step he took. The smoke grew closer, causing Xylon to start to choke on the dense puffs of darkness. He started to cough heavily, slowly making his way over to behind some sort of burnt tree.

The view that Xylon had was rather unexpected. More than one human was still alive, in fact there were three! The sight of three humans alive together was one he’d not seen in a long time. The horde of attacking pokémon seemed endless. The survivors consisted of two boys and a girl. The girl wore a white, stained lab coat, commanding an Arcanine, hopelessly fighting to what seemed to be her death. One of the boys was running from the crashed plane towards the girl in what looked like an attempt to help her, along with his Snivy. The final boy seemed to command a Gliscor which swooped down upon his enemies, a Lucario who was naturally attacking the pokémon and an Absol who was summoning a blizzard to save the poor girl who was being totally taken out and the idiot boy who was nobly charging to his death.

Xylon clenched onto the tree, still coughing like mad. He felt like his guts were about to fly up his throat and out of his mouth. He wanted to help but with his current condition being so critical, he would only get in the way. The best he could do right now was to observe and only jump in if need be. His eyes were watering, boiling and swelling up, turning red as he rubbed them. He had to move, he had to get down, the smoke was choking him. He always thought his death would be at the hands of a zombified pokémon, not clouds of smoke accumulating from a plane. Xylon fell to his knees, his right fist pounding his chest. He felt weak; his attempts to crawl were futile. He had to escape the smoke clouds of death before he became a victim to their power.

He looked down upon the survivors fighting for their lives as his vision started to fade. Darkness began to close in around him; his coughing was beginning to stop, only to be replaced with utter pain within his throat. Little oxygen still remained within his body. Little life remained within his soul.

Xylon’s vision was clouded with darkness, and not the darkness of the smoke.

MICHAEL SCHULTZ
20:10:06
OLIVINE CITY

Shit! They were being slowly overrun. Michael clutched his Five-seveN tight, Nathan perched on his shoulder gesturing which ones to shoot. The mysterious lad who had came down on his Gliscor was keeping the back at bay, but Michael knew it would only be a matter of time before his sidearm and concealed weapon's ammo would be exhausted. He looked at Nathan, who was showing his own signs of exhaustion. However, Nathan kept staring back towards the wreckage for some odd reason.

A Tauros got a lucky break and knocked Michael down, his gun sliding away from him. Nathan was pinned under Michael. It seemed as it would be the end, surely...

WHAM!

There was a reddish-orange blur, and suddenly Michael could move. He rolled over and attempted to stand up, weakened by the struggle but still concerned about Nathan.

"You okay, Nathan?" The Grass Snake Pokémon nodded and climbed back atop his perch on Michael's shoulder. Michael retrieved his gun and took dead aim when Nathan tugged on the collar of his flight jacket.Michel looked over at where Nathan was staring and saw a humanoid silhouette collapse. He glanced at his Arcanine, who was victorious in his fight against the Tauros. "Help in any way you can, Major!" The fire Pokémon nodded and went to the lad with the Lucario, while Michael raised his gun to defend the stranger who was slowly being surrounded by Miltank.

Three rounds exited the chamber. 4 Miltank fell. Michael grabbed the fifth's neck and whispered solemnly, "Vaya con Dios" before snapping its neck. The sixth stared at him with hungry eyes, and Michael knocked it down, proceeding to shoot it execution-style in the back of the head. He turned his attention to the task at hand - the fallen person. Grabbing him by the upper torso, he pulled him away, coughing with the smoke filling his lungs, pulling the man (and himself) into fresh oxygen.

Oh, how good it felt to breathe again!

He looked back at the man, who looked like he was coming into consciousness. There was not much more he could do. Nathan hopped off and kept an eye on him.

Michael's thoughts were interrupted by a second explosion coming from the wrecked Cessna - the portable oxygen tank, most likely - and refocused on the task at hand. The chap with the Lucario seemed to have - all by himself - wiped out the entire wave. Michael raised his weapon and squeezed the trigger, a 5.7mm hollowpoint piercing the skull of the Tauros he was aiming at.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse 300px-HGSS_Olivine_City

Olivine City

It all happened so quickly. Months ago - no - maybe years ago I was in the safety of Kanto; I was in the safety of my home. It may have been the most basic house you could get with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and a living room but I felt safe with my Mum, Dad and Snap the Meowth. I remember the times where I was upstairs doing my homework and Mum and Dad were yelling at each other downstairs. I had no idea why but they always still got back together. I never understood why they did that and neither will I find out why they did it in the future either. They was dead. Gone to a pack of zombified Pokémon. I had walked home and was about to enter through the garden gate but it was too late. Dad was being punched back into the house screaming while Mum was on the floor being eaten alive. I was scared and I had no idea what to do next so I ran. I wish I didn't run away but I didn't have a choice. My Pokémon were weak and they were strong.

What do you do in that kind of situation? I ran. I am now hiding in an abandoned house with food still inside. I stood up, staying crouched under the oak table had caused my legs to seize up in pain. When I stood up I started to feel dizzy again but grabbed the table to keep my self standing. As my head started to become straight again I peered out of the window. I couldn't see anything in the fog. And then something amazing happened. I know you'll think I was crazy but through the light I could see a green light. I had no idea what it was but my curiosity got the better of me. I was stupid to even think of it and I knew I shouldn't have done it but I was so desperate for other people that I was willing to sacrifice anything. Even my own Pokémon.

"Ron, I need you."

Ron appeared out of the red and white Pokéball I was keeping him safe in and landed on the oak table which was about the same level as the bottom of the near by window. Ron tilted his head towards me. I felt guilty about what I was about to do.

"I want you to fly out that window and see what is going on with all the explosions in that direction."

Ron glared at me as if to say that he wasn't going to do it.

"Oh come on you stupid bird, just go and see what's going on!"

I remember shouting those words exactly. Ron wasn't having any thing to do with it and attacked me. Until we both heard zombified Pokémon outside. My heart stopped as I heard the groans of a Pokémon - Milktank most likely. We stopped fighting and listened. It didn't do much as the door burst open to reveal three Milktank who was obviously infected with the virus a long time ago. I made a quick squeal and ran for the back door with Ron following right behind me. As I burst out of the back door I remembered the gym and how it was boarded up...

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Willow had a perfect opening now. She knew what she wanted to do. The Absol's Blizzard had crippled the lumbering, undead creatures that had almost ripped her to shreds. A small smile curled her thin lips and she stared ahead at the boarded-up Pokemon Gym, an idea forming within her mind.

'Right, we all need to get inside that gym! It may be boarded up but there could be a chance that Jasmine is stuck in there, so those who can follow me do so! If anybody's injured then I request that somebody else should help them to get into the gym. I would but I'm not physically strong!' Willow shouted, not looking back at the trainers who were gathered around the spot.

There was a new group of undead Pokemon approaching them, but this time they consisted of Stantlers. They must have travelled to Olivine from the Ecruteak area in search of some fresh meat.

'Right, I hate to ask for more favours but could those of you who can cover my back please?' Willow requested loudly, hoping that she could be heard by them all. Bisharp and her Arcanine nodded curtly. Their eyes gleamed with determination. The female scientist dashed towards the door of the Pokemon Gym and tossed a Pokeball into the air. A large, ball-shaped creature hit the ground with a large 'clunk'. The Pokemon grinned at her widely. Arcanine and Bisharp were circling them.

'Electrode, I need you to explode in a refined...'

Before she could finish her sentence, her Pokemon glowed a harsh white and exploded, knocking Willow to her feet and causing her other Pokemon companions to stumble back in a clumsy manner. When the smoke cloud cleared Electrode was blackened, looking less cheerful than it has done beforehand. Willow uttered a quiet word of thanks before returning the Pokemon to its ball. The door now had large cracks in it, but it has still not broken. Sadly the explosion had attracted the attention of the hungry horde of reindeer-like Pokemon. They charged towards the posse. Before she could react, the door opened and an arm dragged Willow into the building. Her Bisharp and her Arcanine followed, both of them looking completely bemused.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by Romeo Fri Dec 16, 2011 9:15 am

Xylon’s eyes slowly spread open, his sight clouded with small wisps of smoke. The smell of burning oil and metal slowly crawled up his nose, his head aching with pain. The sound of battle raged on around him, bullets whooshing randomly from their guns, cries of pain sounded in the air. The air around him was a faint black colour, causing Xylon to notice that if he didn’t move fast he’d be in a whole lot of trouble. He stumbled to his feet, his hands gripping his head. A man wasn’t so far off; he himself wielded a small firearm and was taking out a lot of Miltank. An Absol was causing a blizzard not so far away and a girl in a lab coat also was fighting for survival. What was happening? Xylon himself couldn’t remember that he’d fainted, he was still coming around.

A loud roar that sounded like a ‘Moo’ sounded to Xylon’s left. Xylon slowly looked left, his eyes adjusting still to his surroundings. Upon noticing that a giant, fat, Miltank was charging to Xylon, his eyes widened. He didn’t know what to do, he was frozen in shock, all he could do was close his eyes and hope it was all a dream. It wasn’t a dream of course, but when Xylon open his eyes he found the zombified Miltank on the ground with a bullet wound in its neck, the creature was gasping for air. The man ran over to Xylon, shooting the Miltank once more, finishing it off.

“You okay?” He said, his voice sounding rather alarmed.

Xylon looked up at him slowly, his hands still gripping his head, he moaned slightly trying not to make it obvious before saying: “I think so… what happened? I feel all… well hazy.” Xylon removed his hands from his head and slouched slightly, not able to stand up straight.

“I don’t know, all I do know is I saw a silhouette fall near the wreck and I dragged you from the smoke,” The man replied, his voice still sounding rather alarmed.

“I’m guessing that was me. So, what’s actually going on?” Xylon asked, comically looking around at the battle, pulling random faces, even chuckling a little. His senses and personality were coming back to him now, he found the fights amusing and the zombified pokémon that roamed the area amusing as well, he was starting to remember and understand once again that he was in an epic battle for survival, though right now he seemed to be ignored by the zombified pokémon.

The man looked at Xylon queerly in response to his chuckle before replying: "Stereotypical zombie apocalypse. Not sure myself, just crashed the Cessna." Xylon looked over to where he’d nodded, noticing the plane he’d been chasing crashed into the ground, smoking with bits of it lying around the crash site.

"That'll explain the origin of the smoke. I think I remember now, I chased down a crashing plane, a.k.a: Your Cessna. Yes, it's all coming back to me now. I guess there's nothing more to do now than have some fun and join in. Oh, thank you for saving me," Xylon smiled cheekily before unclipping a pokéball off of his belt and unleashing his Typhlosion. “Typhlosion, use flame wheel!” Typhlosion acknowledged the order and nodded, curling into a wheel and propelling itself at a nearby Miltank.

The man turned to face Xylon as his Snivy climbed onto his shoulders. “Not a problem.” He started to reload his small firearm as Xylon casually looked around, the hand that wasn’t gripping Typhlosion’s pokéball was fondling around Xylon’s pocket looking for his lighter.

Xylon watched Typhlosion finish off the Miltank before turning to the man and asking, “So now what? You have a plan?”

"Not a clue; but the Gym seems to be pretty sturdy. Maybe we can hole up in there."

Xylon peered at the boarded up gym that lay not 30 meters away from his current location. He nodded. "And it looks like everybody else is heading there. Let's move." He set off in a sprint, withdrawing his lighter and starting to play with it in his hand. Typhlosion followed them closely, running on all fours, knocking down any zombified pokémon that it could. The man also followed.

“Shit!” The man cursed as Xylon came to a dead halt by the boards the boarded up the doors to the gym. The two of them were thinking the same thing; the boards had to be removed instantly. The man moved to kick the board of the left door down, whilst Xylon had a different idea.

“Typhlosion, tackle the board down!” Typhlosion’s fist started glowing before he punched one of the boards, forcing it to split into two, giving Xylon and Typhlosion access to the gym.

Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse Empty Re: Pokemon: The Zombie Apocalypse

Post by EVILJACKCARVER Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:32 pm

Michael was interrupted mid-thought when Nathan shouted out. Andy turned, seeing a Miltank charging right for the Snivy and the man whom he had just rescued. He raised his weapon, the laser aiming sight dancing on the Miltank, and fired. The round pierced through its neck and ran towards the man a short ways before finishing the job. He squat down and asked the man if he was alright.

"I think so... what happened? I feel all... well hazy."

"I don't know, all I do know is I saw a silhouette fall near the wreck and I dragged you out of the smoke."
The man attempted to stand and succeeded, albeit not quite straight.

"I'm guessing that was me. So, what's actually going on?"
The man took a look around the 'battlefield' of sorts. Michael chuckled before making his reply, "Stereotypical zombie apocalypse. Not sure myself, just crashed the Cessna." He nodded at the plane, which was still ablaze. About 30 pounds of petrol were still burning.

"That'll explain the origin of the smoke. I think I remember now, I chased down a crashing plane, a.k.a: Your Cessna. Yes, it's all coming back to me now. I guess there's nothing more to do now than have some fun And join in. Oh, thank you for saving me."
The man unclipped his PokéBall, unleashing a rather furious-looking Typhlosion. Michael took an involuntary step backwards before responding, "Not a problem," pressing the magazine release, shoving a new clip in, and pocketing the old one in one fluid motion. The man ordered his Typhlosion to attack a stray Miltank before turning to Michael.

"So now what? You have a plan?"

"Not a clue; but the Gym seems to be pretty sturdy. Maybe we can hole up in there."
He fired off a few rounds at a Tauros who was looking at him with a rather creepy glare. Nobody looked at Michael Schultz like that and lived to tell the tale. He heard the man say, "And it looks like everybody else is heading there. Let's move."

Michael acknowledged the value in that idea. He called his Pokémon and took off in a sprint towards the Gym, only to see it was boarded up. That would be a damper, unless his plan worked. He slowed down slightly and jumped, using his airborne momentum to slam into one of the boards in the centre. Upon impact, he cussed - that hurt more than he thought it would - and looked at the cracked boards. All it took was one more kick to grant him and Nathan access. (Major Tom simply took the other door.)

He slid inside and pushed through the door, trying to see anything at all through the black curtain that had enveiled the gym. There was one thing to do. He turned on the pistol-mounted flashlight and looked around for a light switch, which for reasons unknown was on the far wall. He jogged over to it and flipped it, but to his disappointment nothing happened. There was no power going to the switch.

Michael stopped for a moment to examine his surroundings for a door, a fuse panel, anything that would possibly bring power to the building. And the power was on; the lighthouse ran off the same power grid that the Gym did and it was just lit. He stopped for a moment to let Nathan down onto the concrete floor.

He spied a ladder on the far wall and followed it with his light to a catwalk, which ended off in a stairwell - well worth a try. He walked over to it and looked at the rungs, which were slightly rusted, but still navigable. He engaged the pistol's safety mechanism and set it in his fanny pack, forgetfully leaving the mounted light on. As he reached the top, and climbed up, he shone the light towards the floor - Big mistake. A sense of vertigo came over him and he grabbed the handrail with a death-grip, inching his way towards the stairwell, until he finally worked the courage to jog along the raised platform.

Hopping the stairs in a single bound (though there weren't but 4 of them) he slammed face-first into a door and fell to the catwalk, the light showing blood on the walkway. He attempted to stand, but had difficulty, opting instead to crawl along the walkway as the sound of him hitting the door reverberated throughout the Gym.He managed to kneel and open the door, behind which he found a fainted Jasmine and a circuit-breaker panel. He ignored Jasmine (there was no way in hell he could bring her down the ladder safely) and looked at the panel. And of course, the main switch was off.

The sound of an explosion came from outside, causing Michael to jump and Nathan to cry out in surprise from the Gym floor. He quickly shoved the main breaker into the ON position, doing the same for all the others and going back to the door, the room now navigable thanks to the light hanging off its cord, attached to the ceiling. He happened a glance at Jasmine on the way out. Such a shame, she was out cold. He clicked off the weapon-mounted light and looked at the dent where he face-planted the door. The blood spatter reminded him that he likely broke his nose in the impact, and that his nose was still bleeding.

He walked outside and slid down the ladder.
