There's been a lot of discussion over on marriland on it. Personally, I think it will rather work or just fail. Though since the spin-offs have had a history of being medicore at best, it'll probably be bad.

Hmmm, at first I was under the impression that it would be similar to the main-series games.
After some research I've found that some of my excitement has died...
Cool style, but it may be a completely sucky concept.
