Biggest news story of the year?

2011 has nearly ended, but the news was a little odd at times. But which news story impacted you most? Which one was was the biggest?

I personally think the death of Steve Jobs was the one that impacted me most. I may not own an apple product, but they are amazing (I'll be getting the latest Ipod for chirstmas). Without Steve Jobs, Apple maybe ruined, and as a lover of technology, that'll hurt me.

The biggest piece of news is always going to be a controversial choice.

The one that impacted me most however was certainly the death of Dan Wheldon. That's changed my mindset completely.

For all I know the queen could get assassinated at Christmas so until then I'm keeping my mouth shut about the biggest news story
